Attention! Bears in Moscow!
For the first time you’ll be able to see bears from the whole world at one exhibition site!
The myth about bears wandering along Russian streets was busted long ago. But it’s high time we remembered the traditions and let bears enjoy themselves… at the exhibition in Moscow!
The USA and Germany have always argued for the right to be called Teddy Bear’s Motherland. American President Theodor Roosevelt gave the bear its name — Teddy, and Margarita Steiff from Germany sewed the first toy Teddy. By the way, the world-wide known company “Steiff” will bring exclusive exemplars of bears to the exhibition. And in Russia a bear is a symbol with centuries-long history, that’s why the exhibition of authors’ bears which is held for the first time, is a great event.
The first international teddy bear exhibition Hello Teddy in Moscow has been for a long time awaited by professionals and beginners in this art, and by collectors as well.
Though recently begun in Russia, but already very popular, the art of teddy bears creating will receive a new spiral in its development. At the territory of more than 1000 square meters there’ll be bears of different size: from miniatures 1 cm high up to specially made for the exhibition “Russian size”. There you’ll find bears made of classical mohair, authors’ cloths, brocade, vintage plush, paper and even natural fur. Antique bears from Paris, Prague and London will be neighbours to designed bears of modern style.
The prior task of the exhibition is to give life to still unknown brunches in this art as well as to follow the common traditions of making a teddy bear.
The exhibition site itself promises to be unusual: non-standard building elements, like the so called “bear’s cabinets”, interesting art projects will make the exhibition brighter and unforgettable both for participants and visitors.
